I remember my daughter getting a bad case of croup long before her first birthday. My wife and I were terrified. I remember being next to her bed in the hospital after they got her some oxygen. She smiled at me and said dada! I was so proud. When we got home she pointed at the wall and said dada. Then the cat. Then the chair. Oh well.
