I tend to daydream about wandering around the world, making ends meet somehow while living out of my backpack; then I think about the non-existent stability and dread I have for my future, as I'll gather some interesting stories and experiences, but fail to build a solid foundation while I still can - I'm almost 25 and certainly aren't where I would want to- nor should be.
Simply take having a family as an example:
What woman would consider a guy as their partner who has a lot to tell about his "adventures", but fails to present a stable job at thirty years of age while still living with his parents? Would you?
I don't want to end like some interesting dude without a future.
I've thought about taking the leap and start travelling, too, and I've came to the conclusion that - for me - it'll be better to work on my foundation now and travel later when I'm at a somewhat stable spot in my life.
Living in a big city was expensive, and I also found it quite challenging to write without doing anything interesting. I decided to fly to Saigon, Vietnam, where things are much cheaper, and I could explore different cultures and food, win-win!
wait for my next post - what if living somewhere could potentially help you build your foundation faster?

but the world is lack of interesting souls now 👀 and what's a future? why not simply do the work and build it yourself without depending on anyone.

As in: save in a dominant currency or asset, relocate to a poor(er) country, live like a king? Meh.

Care to expand on the first part?
A future, to me, is something I can look towards without a feeling of dread while feeling like a failure because I'll likely have "fallen through the net" at some point in regards to others my age.
Travelling is nice and all, but it's being treated as something "divine" and almost "necessary" in order to have "a life" by people my age.
