The fee probably comes as a result of Breez being non-custodial, so they actually pay a mining fee to open the channel ASAP + a bit extra to the company?
I was shocked too, maybe they warn you somewhere, but in that case I missed it too. I'd also had it installed for a while before I decided to add funds.

Yep, we display the fees while creating the invoice AND when the invoice is displayed...
