Thanks for sharing these. It is good to see efforts to grow the Bitcoin economy. Are any of these gig-economy apps DAOs? For the Bitcoin economy to grow and potentially explode, entirely new business models will be implemented. If Bitcoin is merely another payment option, then it lacks the gravitas to leapfrog incumbents and will likely remained confined as merely a payment novelty.
Streaming sats based on usage is very interesting. We are seeing this with new podcast platforms. I think it is a matter of time before we see a contender to Netflix where instead of paying a monthly fee, we view content and stream sats to the content creator. Instead of renting or buying a movie, if we watch 5 minutes and decide it's not good, we pay only for that 5 minutes.
New business models will be conceived and implemented that Bitcoin and Layer 2 (LN e.g) enables.
I'm not very optimistic about the DAO model. Sometimes centralization is more efficient. Like running an org. Decentralization is good for our money, not for everything.

I think there might be a use case for a decentralized gig-economy competitor to Fiverr and Upwork specifically. Some benefits:
  • Requires good game theory and well thought out incentives
  • Retain more money for participants. Eliminates rent seekers.
  • Smart contract automation
  • Censorship resistance
  • Enhanced privacy and data ownership
  • Global accessibility and inclusivity
To name a few...
