Grey usually just means "data not available". However, my understanding is that people in China do not own homes, but rather sign long-term leases with the state.

I live in Turkey.
We have 15 million refugees here.
And avarage citizen has no chance to buy a house. Even rents are sky rocketed.

We need private equity-funded organizations to stop outbidding everyday Americans for homes. This problem won't be fixed until we add more supply to the market, ban investment banks from bidding on homes, or see wages in real terms rise.
