At the risk of being shunned, I am just gonna say that some altcoins serve purposes that may not be so effectively fulfilled by Bitcoin. For example, the Singapore government is using the Ethereum blockchain to verify government issued certificates (like vaccination certs). Surely we don’t want to overwhelm Ordinals by doing likewise. 

But ofc there can only be ONE Bitcoin Standard, which explains why I’m here haha

I went through the same here. This post relates to my experience and I suppose with most others when they are new. 
People need to understand one thing for sure, if bitcoin can serve the same purpose as most other imposters (i.e. other chains, tokens, layer 2s, NFTs blah blah), why do we need them and why should we think of them? Aren't all of them are chasing the same purpose without the same sovereign, democratic and revolutionary principles of Bitcoin?
