There's a use case for it? What's the purpose or aim?
PDF (Portable Document Format) are basically PostScript files, ideally made to contain text and vectors (EPS - Encapsulated PostScript) in the electronic publishing realm.
Why not then enable also SVG to be rendered as images? Lot of cool stuff could be done then!
How you'll deal with multiple page PSDs? It will render an image per page?

Sharing a resume on a job board, or a poster or something.
I put it up because it's supported by the image tool we use not because there's a killer use case.
I'd love to support arbitrary file uploads, which we'll do when we have encrypted messaging.
