Who can't participate in a democracy? In my opinion, it's not the democracy that's corrupt, but the politicians. That doesn't mean the system is bad. I'm not saying it's the ideal system, but we can learn from history, and I think so far we don't have a better one that works minimally.
True democracy, but isn't that what we have already? I must not be understanding what you mean. Are you saying that there should be multiple leaders within a country?

Check out North Korea, Russia, China, Venezuela and most countries worldwide. Do you really trust their democratic system?
Even the last USA and Brazil elections had their share of fraudulent activities. Not to mention woke leftists EVERYWHERE who want to ban all right-wing parties from running in elections.
Elections were also paused on Ukraine, and oposition jailed.
Do you really think democracy is fair system? It doesn't work. Never will.

Yes, with this system we all have the freedom to choose our leaders, and each leader will bring their own set of rules, laws and social economic decisions to the table.
You choose your leader, and you follow him. I choose my leader, and i follow him.
If your leader turns out to be corrupt or makes poor decisions, it is ultimately your fault and those who chose him. I don't suffer because of YOUR bad decision.
The beauty of this system lies in its fairness, as we all have the power to actually choose our leaders. True democracy.
