Just for
Deposits/Withdraw
(As a LN primary wallet)

Present i am using WoS (regular use).
I would love to use it @sn as LN wallet if fees is little bit low on withdraws!

@kr

Fees on withdraws ?

Usually I pay 0 or 1 sat.

reply

Same here.

OP didn't mention where he/she where withdrawing to. It may not be a well connected node.

reply

I see what you mean

reply

Withdraw to opposite side person (payment in lightning)

reply

That does not answer the question. What wallet are they using?

reply

What if someone need payment on LN Invoice?

How can we know what LN wallet it is.

I don't know why one could not use SN as a wallet. I mention as much in a previous post SN Post: #413714

How many Sats are you thinking of having in SN at any given time?

k00b has provided wise wisdom not to keep to many Sats on SN in the past. As it is good advice not keep to much of your stack in a hot wallet and/or custodial wallet.

reply

Hot wallet like?

reply

Compared to a cold wallet. an offline hardware device (ex: coldcard, trezor, etc...)

reply

Why not?

Coldcard is cold wallet right?

Why not to keep much of my stack in coldcard?

reply
Why not?
I think there might be some confusion in how I worded my previous answer. A hardware wallet is a better security option for securing Sats.
Coldcard is cold wallet right?
Yes
Why not to keep much of my stack in coldcard?
You should.

We have long-term plans to remove the custodial wallet (while keeping the UX around zapping). So I wouldn't recommend using SN as your wallet. The UX also sucks compared to other wallets since SN's main purpose is not to be a wallet (never was and never will be). We also have strict deposit limits. Currently, it's 250k sats.

What's wrong with other wallets? Check out @DarthCoin's comparison of LN wallets.

reply

Then what about SATs if removed?

Let's say if i deposited👇🏻

100000 SATs on my stacker.news

In future when @sn is no longer custodial wallet!
(As mentioned above)

Then what happens to my those 100000 SATs which is deposited now?

reply
then what about SATs if removed?

you'll use your own wallet

Then what happens to my those 100000 SATs which is deposited now?

nothing, you just can't deposit more

reply

It's like no deposits (Only zaps)! and withdraw! Right

reply
