I get that they like it, but its the lightning network symbol. You see the lightning bolt, it means its lightning network combatable. If you used a lightning bolt, but wanted to accept payment outside of the lightning network, your user will be incredibly confused.
Now I get that's the idea, because "You only spend sats on lightning anyway", but in that sense its effectively not using a sats symbol at all, and that's why other sats symbol propositions can safely ignore it, because no one will recognize its supposed to be a sats symbol anyway.
