Today was a "family skate day" :) My wife is on level 6 (on a scale of 10), our son is 3 (same scale), and our daughter is just learning now to skate. And me....level zero :D I don't like to skate, but I'm going with them, and enjoy a glass of mulled wine :)
Here are the pictures (idk about quality of pictures, because I had to make a print screen of a video):

Going to take the little one skating tomorrow. So, touch ice in my case.

hopefully your skates are the only things that end up touching the ice!
reply
Unlikely. At least my knees will be hitting the ice as I try to help my little one up.

I'm studying anti vehicle and anti personnel mines, how they work, how to detect them and deactivate. Can't attach photos cause it's illegal in my situation. During studying I'm realizing how deadly great can be my adventure
Have a great weekend, stackers

Not exactly the weekend but Thursday it was my gf birthday and we took the day off, and went on those hop on hop off turist buses in our own city, it's cool to see things from the top of the bus, then we wen for a park and just chilled laying on the grass, the we went and pick up our kid at kindergarten, and went with him to a kids park for him to play around. It was a nice day.

I'm a fairly active cyclist, so I finally got a ride in this morning after having snow/ice and single digit temps over the past two weeks. Then I took the dogs running at a local park since they too have been cooped up in the house.
I plan on banging out miles again tomorrow, then smoke some ribs.

nice, how cold does it need to get for you to stop cycling outdoors? i’d imagine the wind chill at high speeds is the toughest part
reply
Typically about 20 degrees Fahrenheit (or -6 C) is when I look at the winds, humidity and if the sun will be out. Then I'll decide if I really want to ride or not.
It was 32 degrees this morning and wet, and I went out anyways. I did hit an ice patch running 27 MPH when I crossed a bridge when I was about 15 miles from home. I am not sure how I recovered without crashing. Something, something, rotational inertia? :)

It’s cold AND raining. I’m staying inside. Spring can’t come fast enough 😅

Appreciate posts like this. I just went to see Poor Things with Emma Stone, such a weird movie but I just asked my kid if he wants to go for a walk with me and he said lets wait till mommy gets back so hey lol.

Ran 8 miles, average pace 930. Weather was nice.

I'm going to Hocking Hills in Southeast Ohio. Don't got any pics from this upcoming trip yet, but here's one from a few summers ago.

The goobers playing by where the waterfall hits the pool are my daughters but this trip will be just the Mrs. and me!
