During the Victorian era of the 1800s, Napoleon’s conquest of Egypt threw open the Gates of Egypt’s history for the Europeans. At that time, mummies were not accorded the respect that they deserved from the European elites and in fact, mummies could be purchased from street vendors (as shown in the picture) to be used as the main event for parties and social gatherings that took place in the 18th century. The elites of the era would often hold “Mummy Unwrapping Parties”, which, as the name suggests, had the main theme in which a Mummy would be unwrapped in front of a boisterous audience, cheering and applauding at the same time. In the 1940s in the US, a chicken called Mike lived for 18 months without a head

He had been almost completely beheaded with an axe, but crucially the jugular vein and most of the brainstem were left intact. This left just enough brain function for essential functions, like breathing, and Mike was fed with an eyedropper through the stump of his neck.

Boiled penguin eggs have transparent whites.
Penguin egg whites turn clear when boiled. This is because the glycoprotein that would typically make chicken eggs white, ovalbumin, is less present in penguin eggs; there is more of another glycoprotein, called penalalbumin.
This makes the egg more cold resistant. In their natural state, boiled penguin eggs are a pale greenish-white on their coating, and have a pear shape to them. They’re approximately 12cm long and 8cm wide in size.
One of President John Tyler’s grandsons is still alive today—and he was born in 1790. How is this possible? President Tyler, the 10th US president, was 63 when his son Lyon Tyler was born in 1853; Lyon’s son was born when he was 75. President Tyler’s living grandson, Harrison Tyler is 94. Lyon's other son Lyon Jr. passed away in 2020 at the age of 95. The Tyler family still maintains the President’s home, Sherwood Forest Plantation in Virginia.

Get rid of those ties guys!
Wearing a tie can reduce blood flow to the brain by 7.5 per cent. A study in 2018 found that wearing a necktie can reduce the blood flow to your brain by up to 7.5 per cent, which can make you feel dizzy, nauseous, and cause headaches. They can also increase the pressure in your eyes if on too tight and are great at carrying germs.
Is your tie killing you?
According to a study published in the medical journal Neuroradiology, wearing a necktie leads to a decrease in cerebral blood flow, which allows blood to enter the brain.
Decreased blood flow to the brain can create a myriad of health problems including brain ischemia, which can cause blindness, speaking impairments and unconsciousness.

The mathematical units for fuel consumption of a vehicle (MPG, L/100km) can be rearranged and/or simplified down to be expressed as an area. This area corresponds to the area of a "string" or "tube" of fuel, on the path of travel, that would be needed for the vehicle as it drives along it.

"hippopotomonstrosesquipedaliophobia" ironically, it means the fear of long words. It originally was referred to as Sesquipedalophobia but was changed at some point to sound more intimidating. Standing at 35 letters and 15 syllables makes it the longest word in the dictionary!
The phobia affects a horrifying 3-15% of the population!

English man find his ancestor from 10,000 years ago! (...and the resemblance is undeniable)
Skeleton found in a cave in Cheddar, England was tested for DNA and compared with nearby families living in the same location just to find out that a local resident named Adrian Target was a DIRECT descendant, thinking back 300 generations and 10,000 years ago.
The guy lived only 1/2 miles away from where the skeleton was found and, surprisingly, is a history teacher.
A fun fact is that this sentence won't end up as the best comment in this thread.
