As bitcoin becomes more valuable, there are still ways to stack sats "for free", and you can do them during the spare moments 🚽 during your day.
Aside from adding a few satoshis to your wallet, these can be fun ways to get your friends & family into bitcoin.
Thndr Games The original Layer 3 Gaming Company, they now provide many different options. Thndr's first game was Turbo '84 and is still the one I play daily. Play the game, earn tickets, and you are automatically entered into the hourly drawings for free sats.
Pop open a game when you have a few minutes, and come back later to collect your bitcoin.
(Note: you do have a limited number of days to claim your earned sats from each game)
Available Games
Top prizes are currently a few hundred sats, with some larger prizes through tournaments run on their Discord and Twitter.
Referrals All the major exchanges offer referral programs that will get you $5-$10 of bitcoin, though there can be a substantial delay in how long the payouts take, it is worth sharing your link if you are onboarding friends & family. Processing time and requirements vary per platform.
Earn Free Shitcoins & Swap for BTC Maybe a more controversial option for Bitcoiners - you can earn free crypto on Coinbase and then swap the crypto for bitcoin.
Coinbase offers many opportunities learn about new shitcoins for a few minutes of "learning". In most cases, you watch or read a brief infomercial and then answer one multiple choice question. Without much effort you can rack up $3-$12 of shitcoins, then of course swap it for bitcoin.
LND Faucets There was once a day where you could get full bitcoins for free from "faucets" that would drip a bit into your wallet. Those days are gone, but you can still find a few Lightning Faucets if you look around.
Let me know if you know of any others.

Lolli Check out the Lolli App to earn bitcoin for making your normal purchases at Safeway, Finish Line, CVS, and many more. Scroll through the Lolli app and see where you can get 1-10% back in sats - you can also link a credit or debit card to earn even more per purchase.
Notes
  • Lolli provides a daily stacker where you get ~20 - 50 sats per day for opening your "treasure chest".
  • Withdrawal require at least $15 worth of BTC and can take over a week.
  • A word of warning, I have currently been waiting 2 weeks for a withdrawal. Lolli informed me there was a delay, but not sure why it is happening.

Stacker News Saved this one for last, because if you are here then you know about it.
Make quality posts, add good comments, stack some sats.
And please be sure to Zap the other Plebs.
Now this is a practical idea I can get behind. (Pun intended) I waste (#2, get it) so much of my day with unproductive tasks.

You missed Fountain, which is the one I use most in this circumstance.
Btw, I'm going to try to make clips more regularly. So, follow me on there to see those: undisciplined@fountain.fm

There are quite a few one called Undisciplined on Fountain. What does your icon look like?
reply
I'm the one and only: https://fountain.fm/undisciplined
I don't think I even have an icon.

I got rid of Loli and I've stopped using Fold. I can stack more sats reading and writing and rewarding good posts here. Much more.

This! I also tried some of those games above, but let’s not forgot while Bitcoin is valuable, time on the planet is our most valuable asset. Playing additive games while you 💩 leads to playing them when you aren’t. It’s not a good use of time in my opinion.
reply
The video games are not valuable time spent. Reading, learning a new skill, food preparation, folding your own laundry, cleaning your home and self care are things that will keep you strong and wealthy.
reply
This is all good and fair - I would not suggest you play games constantly but all work and no play makes Jack a dull boy
reply
I've played plenty of games. Games with people in person are good. Video games are something you do when you don't know what to do and they are a trap. It's like people who spend 300 dollars a month on cable, Internet, satellite, premium channels.... To save money.
That being said, I can only judge that for me there are way to many useless activities that I have wasted time on and I've lost that time. This includes sitting on the toilet "multitasking". It's really bad for your health to do this. Just shit and get on with something else. Yes, I've been this guy who (as I sit on my couch) have done unproductive work.
It's a good discussion. Thank you for introducing it. People disagree with me all day long. So what you think is best and if you get to a standstill refer back to this and change course.
Happy Trails.

I'm waiting for ASICs connected to biogas farms so I can earn sats from poop, is that too much to ask?

Thanks for the reminder to take a few seconds to relax and earn a satoshi or two.

You might up playing hard for a whole week just to earn 1K sats, my advice is play the games as a way of fun and not of earning from

I used to play Solitaire, but @Bitman alerted me to the fact that it comes with 17 trackers. I was horrified and have since deleted it.
I do use the Yzer app. It gives sats after you finish its bite-sized lessons. Something like Coinbase.
Coinbase has dried up for me. All the quests are in its Coinbase Wallet - and nope, I’m not gonna jump through hoops for 10 bucks. Revolut, on the other hand, provides Learn n Earn lessons with no strings attached but they are few and far between lar
I use the Cointiply faucet on company time haha
And fountain when I’m doing household chores
I agree with the rest. SN is the fastest way to stack sats

I managed to give @cryotosensei the tracker info easily by viewing at the trackers his Android app using Exodus's website.
Exodus's tracker data on such apps are also visible when you choose not to use the Google Play store but use its unofficial FOSS client app Aurora instead.
It can be quite shocking to see how many trackers you welcome into your phone.
You should talk about ember fund they are a cool app that earns bitcoin too off your phone

Useful article, thanks for share wit us!
I also use some of these options to stack sats. THNDR games (but just solitaire, bounce and bay), different CEX for their "Learn&earn" program, etc... I will try it LND and Lolli next days.
Besides that I use coinfaucet website (https://coinfaucet.net/?ref=4d6a45784f445934), and Ember app (check my older article: #393595)
