This has been going on for a while, and long before the update. Once in a while I may earn 1 sat a minute, but it's infrequent. Promotions also seem to be a thing of the past. I would look at Fountain as a good value for value podcast app now, and no longer as a place to earn sats. I'm sure that was a financial losing proposition for the owners/investors, and not sustainable.
Hmm, hope that's not the case. It's been awesome to earn a few sats doing something I already do. As far as the promotions, I kind of started enjoying that I would listen to some things that I would never listen to otherwise. The older I get and more stuck in my ways I get, the more I'm realizing it's good to try new things. The promotions helped to branch out in a way. Appreciate your reply.

I've had earnings a few times since the update. They've made the duration variable as well as the amount. One time I was getting 1 sat/min for 30 minutes. Another time it was 1 sat/min for 20 minutes. Plus, one time I actually earned a few hundred sats, but I didn't check it in time to see what the rate or duration were.
I think their team knows people care about this and earnings will be a bigger part of future development. My understanding is that they were pretty focused on the UI and social improvements.
