It has been an idea of mine for awhile to start a show called "A bit of Good News." We see so much negativity on TV and posted online, that I wanted to be a force for change. This idea was heavily inspired by the "Some Good News" YouTube show started by John Krasinski (Jim from The Office) during Covid quarantine. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCOe_y6KKvS3PdIfb9q9pGug
I've previously been retweeting good news on X with the caption "A bit of Good News," but now I can just post here and then share a link to X :) I want to bring more X users to Stacker News!

Gravity Batteries exist (at least I think this is awesome good news): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kuVjkL9XYVI

That's cool! I do think bitcoin mining has more potential to help humans and the energy grid with it's demand response capabilities, however. I appreciate your post!

We still need batteries to support the renewable grids. I think we build with both bitcoin + gravity batteries and then we have the best of both utilization and storage. Even a bitcoin farm sometimes can’t use all the energy that a grid produces (and you wouldn’t want it to).

True! That's a good idea
