5 decades because it's far enough in the future it's not too tempting to keep using the power but is sufficient to satisfy my curiosity about the future.

Five years, easily. I started “looking into the future” in late 2019 and my time is slowly coming up ;-)

Five.decades and it's not even a close choice for me. Civilization as.we know it is going to enhance so significantly in that amount of time that we can't even fathom or grasp in our minds the technology they will have. Just like five decades ago people would have never been able to grasp the concept of a smart phone or WiFi.

Id rather be able to travel 5 minutes back in time

five years. mostly for selfish reasons. it's a reasonable amount in the future to be able to play the stock market well. also you'd be able to know the next macro-trend and invest wisely to prepare for the future.

Future in 5 decades could be very depressing.

5 years. Easy decision for me. My son is 4 years old now. My baby girl just reached her first year milestone. I’m currently in the rush hour of life where I constantly question myself about whether it is worth sacrificing my time energy effort as well as my personal pursuits n social life to raise two children who can’t stop crying/whining. If I can see 5 years into the future, maybe I will draw some strength to cope with the here and now

If it was continuous, seeing 5 minutes into the future would be incredible, maybe boring, definitely weird.
