I will probably regret this but I don't want to take the same team as you so I am on the Anthony Edwards train. Give me the Timberwolves. (Towns can neutralize Wemby right, right?)
Betting against teams that aren't trying to win is a decent strategy.
I heard someone talking about how weird the Spurs rotation is right now. Their backup point guard has all-time great advanced metrics, because their starting point guard has all-time terrible advanced metrics.

We will see how it goes but Edwards has been unbelievable this year.

I feel like I always miss those performances when I watch him. He's like the basketball version of Michigan J. Frog.

Interesting pick. I would also give Timberwolves the advantage too seeing how Edwards is playing lately, but don't count the Spurs out, because you never know what kind of a freak show Wemby might put on. Not obvious for sure, and could turn out to be an exciting game. Good luck!
I don't believe Towns can guard Wemby; he is too fast / agile for Towns.
reply
Agreed. I just didn't want to pick the 76ers like everyone else and recency bias tells me Edwards is unstoppable.

I think it will probably be Wemby's countryman putting the clamps on him. It's a great showdown of the two best French athletes in recorded history.
reply
Yes, Gobert vs Wemby should be fun to watch.
It's a great showdown of the two best French athletes in recorded history.
Tony Parker has entered the chat and beg to differ.
reply
Doesn't sound French to me. I even tried reading it with un accent francais (Tonay Parkair) but it still doesn't sound French. Tony Parker is a psyop.
reply
That's what I was thinking, too, but I didn't say anything. It's definitely an American name.
Maybe if Tim Duncan's coattails were available to ride
reply
I think you are forgetting Andre the Giant was French. Haha.
reply
I did forget that. RIP
Still a great showdown between the 2nd and 3rd greatest athletes in French history

Since soccer isn't a real sport, that's fair.
