More boltcard adoption I think is a need.
The easier and more idiot proof we can make the process of payment, the better.

in Canada the Shakepay card is great.
it’s basically my only debit card now, and gives you 1% sats back on everything.
in addition it allows you to round up your purchases so that every time you buy something, they’ll take $1, $2, or $5 (you choose) and buy some extra Bitcoin for you. All of this happens behind the scenes so it’s basically an auto-DCA tool too.

Why not supporting directly the merchants that accept BTC directly?
By using fiat cards you are directly supporting fiat system.
For Canada check this out.

Also
Earn 3% sats back on everything you buy. Your gift for supporting stores that accept Bitcoin.

Well, actually, on the neo-bank Revolut (that’s my referral code) you can get maybe the least-worst of both worlds?
Pro:
- free account
- bitcoin wallet
- send and receive bitcoins (taproot address)
- free creditcard (that works as a debit card, Revolut does not give you “credit”.
Con:
- kyc
- Europe only
- no Lightning yet
- you cannot spend ₿ right away. You need to convert some in the app to a fiat currency (this used to work but is now no longer possible)

I would say all the programmable NFC cards out there that you can equip with an LNURL and spend sats in a controlled manner.
Other than that, no other card is needed when using bitcoin.

It was great, sucks now. I just use my Gemini credit card. 10% gas, 3% restaurants, 2% groceries, 1% everything else in sats. Then I send them to cold storage. I’ve stacked 2.5 million sats that way! Great way to DCA!
