I sure hope it's something else. We have enough self-proclaimed prophets outside of btc life, that I think we can do without them here.

At least SN holds the promise of discovering (inventing?) that _something else_ with its evolving incentive structures, so we don't have to rely on moderators and ban-hammers to keep it fun here.

But it's also worth asking: what exactly _is_ the essence of the garden that will die if it's not tended?  Is it fealty to the btc religion, as revealed unto us by the self-proclaimed prophets?
