Nothing's set in stone. Sometimes it's important to adjust the streak in order to accommodate real life events. I'm glad you're feeling better.

I envy your streak. Two days pushing hard on the treadmill and I need two days off. Achy old joints.

Don't push too hard even when you're motivated. The priority should be consistency, not giving 100% once or twice :)

I agree with ekzyis. We don't want you burning out. Enjoy the process because if you push yourself you're not going to enjoy it after a few weeks/months.

I have to say one thing. The whole walking, running, rowing cardio type stuff, I find boring as hell. I tried watching TV, listening to music, etc. Podcasts and audio books are best for me so I stop thinking about what I'm doing.

It is definitely boring, at least initially.
Later, you can compare how you feel with previous workouts and notice differences in how you feel, challenge yourself etc.
You can consider the first few times to just be a benchmark. Another reason to not give 100%: You don't want to put the bar too high for the next times, lol
But it may still be boring so that's why finding something you like doing is important :)
I want to get into bouldering and climbing again. That was the most fun I had while exercising in my life.
reply
Yep. That's exactly what I did wrong. I kept jacking up the speed and incline, thinking I was still in my 30s.

I almost clicked a bigger yellow box but I used restraint. Maybe later...
