What gives you the impression Strike is a wallet? Just because you can hold Bitcoin with them, does not make them a wallet. They will tell you to also not use them as a wallet. No where in their marketing do they state they are a wallet. I think you need to clarify your terminology.

It's one of few Bitcoin-only on-ramp that does not require much expertise to use. Anyway just don't use it as a place to store your life saving there
Imagine directing a nocoiner to use Bisq or Robosats

Strike does a very bad job at letting people know their limit to send/receive btc per day is only $25 without KYC..see my comment for more details.

What method do you send them fiat that does not reveal your identity in order to stay under $25?
reply
Can't send them fiat without revealing your identity, only bitcoin.
reply
Ahh. I guess I have only used them to go from fiat to bitcoin. Have never had a need to send them bitcoin.

Compare it to River or Swan then

Bitcoin is simply not an asset you should trust with custodians ; remove your claim to btc from them for the real thing with urgency. They all fuck around and they all find out.
reply
Strike is just a gateway from fiat world to bitcoin, vice-versa.
reply
Strike is just the new Paypal over LN. Nothing else. Is moving shitcoin fiat over LN.

They recently held about thirty dollars worth of bitcoin of mine hostage per say because I wasn't aware their limits for non-kyc accounts was only 25 dollars worth per day send/receive. Then it took them three days after i sent in the KYC info to release my account and increase my limits. Nope.
reply
Although $25 is a small amount of non-kyc, I didn't even know that was a possibility with them. You must be outside of US?
reply
no i'm in the US
