At least it wasn't as bad as Daniel Jones. What the heck was that last night? The Cowboys D is really good but that was ridiculous.
We started my daughter's very elaborate bedtime routine around kickoff and it was already like 28-0 when I checked back in on it.

Time well spent.

Brutal. He consistently sucks. I watched the Eagles/Pats. Mac Jones was schizophrenic. Horrible, great, then horrible again.
reply
That's called "not a starting NFL quarterback". Trust me, I've been a Raiders fan since the 90's, so I've seen every imaginable type of "not a starting NFL quarterback".
reply
They are paying him an awful lot to be "not a starting qb". The OLine was absolutely atrocious. Cowboys front is hard to handle but I don't know how many plays a rusher was completely unblocked. Cowboys scored 40 points and their run and pass games were just mediocre.
I was shocked they didn't try to move the pocket at all. Jones is mobile. Disaster on all fronts for the Giants.
reply
Part of the decision to dial up a hyper-aggressive defense is having little concern that the QB can make you pay for it.
reply
True. Looked like they had something going with the run early but after the blocked FG the Giants wilted while the Cowboys D caught fire.
reply
Close game. Beagles didn't impress me.
reply
I dont know. The whole Brady return hype had the crowd fired up. Then that big comeback. The NE defense also looked very good. The Eagles overcame a lot and ultimately cruised. This could have easily been an upset.
reply
I suppose we will see but in my (totally unbiased) eyes 49ers are class of NFC. Beagles and Cowgirls can fight it out for second best but as we know there is no second best.
reply
The only question for the 49ers was if Purdy was legit and that seems to have been answered. I think they're the class of the League.
reply
Purdy is very poised for a young QB. I don't expect him to be a top 5 QB but if he doesn't turn the ball over and uses his playmakers, coupled with a top 3 D in the league the 49ers should cruise to a bye.
Of course it is the 49ers and they can't keep a QB healthy so he probably gets hurt next week and then we living on pins and needles with Darnold.
reply
If he's just a competent QB, and they don't have horrible injury luck, that's quite a team.
reply
Kittle and Bosa didn't even factor in. Kittle was questionable due to hamstring issue and Bosa only practiced twice with the team due to hold out. Bosa and Hargrave saw a lot of double teams but the other guys stepped up.
My only concern is the OLine. They had a hell of a time with Watt. When they play the Cowboys or Eagles and have 3 or 4 guys that can get after the QB they are really going to have to move the pocket and get the ball out quick to guys like CMC, Debo and Kittle.
I watched some of the niners game too. They looked great, but they weren't tested. The Eagles were the only team of the three who were challenged at all.
reply
Steelers are not as bad as they looked. 49ers need to clean up the penalties and the OLine is a concern. Watt is incredible but he pretty much bowled over McKivitz. 49ers freed up a lot of cap space when they did the Bosa deal and restructured Kittle and Williams contracts so hopefully they can trade for some OLine help, but not many great OLinemen out there.
