It's Sunday Funday so it's Football day (woo hoo) and poll day!
When I lived in a condo in the city I used to go to my neighbours place for Football Sunday and we would always do it up in terms of food. We had some pretty elaborate and sometimes unique football watching meals/snacks (kangaroo sliders for example) and it was always a great time. What is your go to football Sunday watching food?

Don't watch football but used to make up some wicked wings when me and my brothers watched hockey
reply
Nice who is your hockey team? and what is your go to wing flavour?
reply
Vancouver Canucks, haven't watched in years. Always gotta make some buffalo hot, with some blue cheese. But my signature is marinated is coconut milk, Thai bird chilli and some other spices. Tossed in shredded coconut, with a bit more spices. Deep fry or BBQ and dip in sweet chili sauce.
reply
Sounds tasty. You aren't missing much with the Canucks lately.
reply
Yeah and I just find nhl hockey in general has changed over the last decade and not for the better. Whenever the Olympics(yes I know, they are comically corrupt) are on I'll watch that.
reply
WTF is up with Burrow? No survivor implications, but Cincinnati is one of my pool teams
reply
At least it wasn't as bad as Daniel Jones. What the heck was that last night? The Cowboys D is really good but that was ridiculous.
reply
We started my daughter's very elaborate bedtime routine around kickoff and it was already like 28-0 when I checked back in on it.
reply
Time well spent.
reply
Brutal. He consistently sucks. I watched the Eagles/Pats. Mac Jones was schizophrenic. Horrible, great, then horrible again.
reply
That's called "not a starting NFL quarterback". Trust me, I've been a Raiders fan since the 90's, so I've seen every imaginable type of "not a starting NFL quarterback".
reply
They are paying him an awful lot to be "not a starting qb". The OLine was absolutely atrocious. Cowboys front is hard to handle but I don't know how many plays a rusher was completely unblocked. Cowboys scored 40 points and their run and pass games were just mediocre.
I was shocked they didn't try to move the pocket at all. Jones is mobile. Disaster on all fronts for the Giants.
reply
Part of the decision to dial up a hyper-aggressive defense is having little concern that the QB can make you pay for it.
reply
True. Looked like they had something going with the run early but after the blocked FG the Giants wilted while the Cowboys D caught fire.
reply
Close game. Beagles didn't impress me.
reply
I dont know. The whole Brady return hype had the crowd fired up. Then that big comeback. The NE defense also looked very good. The Eagles overcame a lot and ultimately cruised. This could have easily been an upset.
reply
I suppose we will see but in my (totally unbiased) eyes 49ers are class of NFC. Beagles and Cowgirls can fight it out for second best but as we know there is no second best.
reply
The only question for the 49ers was if Purdy was legit and that seems to have been answered. I think they're the class of the League.
reply
Purdy is very poised for a young QB. I don't expect him to be a top 5 QB but if he doesn't turn the ball over and uses his playmakers, coupled with a top 3 D in the league the 49ers should cruise to a bye.
Of course it is the 49ers and they can't keep a QB healthy so he probably gets hurt next week and then we living on pins and needles with Darnold.
I watched some of the niners game too. They looked great, but they weren't tested. The Eagles were the only team of the three who were challenged at all.
reply
Steelers are not as bad as they looked. 49ers need to clean up the penalties and the OLine is a concern. Watt is incredible but he pretty much bowled over McKivitz. 49ers freed up a lot of cap space when they did the Bosa deal and restructured Kittle and Williams contracts so hopefully they can trade for some OLine help, but not many great OLinemen out there.
Weird stuff happens week 1, but it's something to keep an eye on. He did get hurt in the offseason.
reply
Yeah. I know. I was just testing the waters to see if we could get a live game comment thread going like on some forums. This isn't the time or place for it. Yet...
reply
I logged off 5 minutes before the kick off to the 49ers game. We should do that one week though.
reply
I actually checked in mid-afternoon, but I didn't get notified about your post until this morning.
Let's try it again next week, SN sports is basically still in training camp.

All alone at the top of the daunting AFC West sits the Las Vegas Raiders.

I had to see it to believe it. That dude's just a winner.
