People, this post is a sequel to this other post that contains a very telling video --> #241855

Using nonsense like this make anti-DC crowd so pathetic. Paul was absolutely right at the time. BCash could have won and you really dont need decentralization for most txns (look at tron or any stablecoin). Yet those 0.1% cases makes the huge difference but assuming that fiat-brains realize that is naive. Fortunately, Bitcoin won back in the day but things might change. Dont you view eg. Eth as BCash like alternative? Because they are winning in lot of metrics already. Not because they are more decentralized.

Nuance has been lost in this debate
reply
How do we get it back, though?

If Drivechain was a good idea then there wouldnt be any doubt? Change my mind :)
reply
Was Segwit a good idea?
reply
If i was Vitalik i would spread this exact FUD inside Bitcoin community.
reply
Or you would be trying to get Drivechain adopted
reply
Tell me you are 13yo without telling me you are 13yo.
reply
At this point you dont seem like a credible person
Well. Once Drive chain goes through we won't have to listen to the dumb arguments against it. We can all each decide based on our preferences because drivechain moves changes to layer 2. Instead of arguing or the future of bitcoin, we keep bitcoin solid and pick what we want on layer 2
reply
Drivechains are not going through.
They shall not pass.
reply
The biggest feature anyone has ever been able to compellingly argue that Drivechain provides is that it will make the Drivechainers shut up. Does that seem compelling to you?
reply
Reality is more absurd than parody, so DC being accepted in exchange for silence would be par for the course.
Though, I don't think DC will ever be accepted, because most people never hear about these debates at all.

LOL,
Tron? Stablecoins? Eth? Bcash?
Do you mean shitcoins?
No, he wasn't right. He was dead wrong and so are you.
reply
I love when shitcoiners come in to defend someone and makes things abundantly clear for onlookers 😂
reply
Exactly.
And that's also the point of the original image, it shows who Paul Sztorc really is.
reply
What a load of bs. Decentralization is the whole point. Bcash is a failure.
reply
Exactly. The whole point.
reply
You don't need decentralization for most txs, that's why we have L2 solutions. You do need decentralization to prevent the debasement of the unit of account though, or more generally state / institutional capture.
An insufficiently decentralized coin would have been useless and ruined people's generational wealth had they been foolish enough to put their wealth into it.
reply
BCash could have won
No, it couldn't have won because it didn't win. The market decided. Markets are not random, they are people casting their vote with skin the game. Your opinion doesn't magically rewrite history.
reply
I expect you are billionaire because you already know which way any market will go since we are living in deterministic universe, correct?
reply
Good discovery. Easy to see who is farsighted, and who IS NOT.
reply
Exactly.
These other commenters acting as if the tweet doesn't speak volumes are suspicious as fuck.
Did you see this video, by the way? --> #241855

That's not evidence that "big blockers are behind Paul Sztorc's Drivechains theory". That's just a hint and a tweet out of context that mentions his position regarding selling BCH for BTC afaict.
You have a link for that tweet?
reply
Look, he's not going to admit that Roger Ver and them are behind his company and the Drivechains nonsense.
However, there's this video --> #241855
So far.

I didn't say he's not backed.
I'm just trying to hold up standards in this discussion.
Using a simple screenshot of a tweet without even a link as "evidence" is ridiculous from any side of any discussion
reply
I know it wasn't clear at first that this was the second post in a series. My mistake.
You did hold the standard, and I already gave you the link to the tweet and the video. Those are pieces of evidence.
I know I haven't proved anything yet and none of us were in those backdoor meetings to verify, but the situation does look suspicious. Hopefully, more will be revealed.
reply
Lol an evil Bcasher in our midst trying to hijack the protocol! I saw a repost of this damning EVIDENCE
reply
BCashers have their own chain already! LOL.

I will admit though that I did not have a great understanding at the time, but more of a heuristic approach of "yeah, these guys seem to be on the right side of thing and these other guys do not".

No, I wouldn't. Because Bchash wasn't cool. It was stupid. And so are Drivechains.
reply
So you never said dumb stuff in your life?
reply
I do, from time to time.
Do you think it's not possible for people to pay you to say dumb stuff?

Hey, Adam Back is a legend in my book, but I don't respect that he's in bed with the Tether people.
