Using nonsense like this make anti-DC crowd so pathetic. Paul was absolutely right at the time. BCash could have won and you really dont need decentralization for most txns (look at tron or any stablecoin).
Yet those 0.1% cases makes the huge difference but assuming that fiat-brains realize that is naive. Fortunately, Bitcoin won back in the day but things might change. Dont you view eg. Eth as BCash like alternative? Because they are winning in lot of metrics already. Not because they are more decentralized.
Well. Once Drive chain goes through we won't have to listen to the dumb arguments against it. We can all each decide based on our preferences because drivechain moves changes to layer 2. Instead of arguing or the future of bitcoin, we keep bitcoin solid and pick what we want on layer 2
The biggest feature anyone has ever been able to compellingly argue that Drivechain provides is that it will make the Drivechainers shut up. Does that seem compelling to you?
You don't need decentralization for most txs, that's why we have L2 solutions.
You do need decentralization to prevent the debasement of the unit of account though, or more generally state / institutional capture.
An insufficiently decentralized coin would have been useless and ruined people's generational wealth had they been foolish enough to put their wealth into it.
No, it couldn't have won because it didn't win. The market decided. Markets are not random, they are people casting their vote with skin the game. Your opinion doesn't magically rewrite history.
That's not evidence that "big blockers are behind Paul Sztorc's Drivechains theory". That's just a hint and a tweet out of context that mentions his position regarding selling BCH for BTC afaict.
I know it wasn't clear at first that this was the second post in a series. My mistake.
You did hold the standard, and I already gave you the link to the tweet and the video. Those are pieces of evidence.
I know I haven't proved anything yet and none of us were in those backdoor meetings to verify, but the situation does look suspicious. Hopefully, more will be revealed.
I will admit though that I did not have a great understanding at the time, but more of a heuristic approach of "yeah, these guys seem to be on the right side of thing and these other guys do not".
