Great conversation yesterday about NFL power rankings. We even had Stacker Sports first side bet. I think a few of you are homers though.
I will get the survivor pool rules and info out early next week.
Since you all seem to have strong opinions on the best 5 teams in NFL.
Shill me your power rankings for any other sport you like so we can stir up some more hot debate and maybe another bet. (Can be baseball for current season. Can be way too early rankings for NBA or NHL).

I don't know. Certain Vikings, Lions and Jets fans may have been somewhat biased in their power rankings.
Hey, who am I to talk, I would have 49ers in my top 5 and I am not sure we even have a QB ready to go for week 1. Although both Purdy and Lance played pretty well last night.

I will check it out sometime. Speaking of more obscure sports. Are you familiar with the AUDL?
I knew a guy that played for the Toronto Rush in that league (haven't talked to him in years-friend of a friend kind of thing). I was surprised that they could draw over a thousands fans for a game and up to 2500 for a big game.
That's a semi-pro league so the players don't get a salary but they get a share of the gate. So he was always pushing people to come to games.

I don't want to invade Meta Music Monday with survivor pool talk. What does your pool do about pick submission deadline considering the Thursday games. Do you have to have picks in before Thursday or is deadline later and Thursday game excluded?
I would prefer a Friday deadline for everyone but maybe if they want to pick a team playing the thursday game it has to be in by Wednesday?

Our pool allows picks until Thursday kickoff. You can choose to do whatever you want deadline wise, but I think you need to include Thursday game.

Do you like the idea of a Friday deadline but if you want to choose a team for thursday you need to be in by Thursday at 6pm est or something similar?
Mostly doing this for selfish reasons so I can use Saturday to manage the picks for the week. Haha.

My hot takes for the season are that Boston and Phoenix will be massively disappointing. I just don't think Porzingis or Beal are winning players and I don't think Jaylen Brown or Booker are as good as other people seem to (although I love both of their games).
I really like the Lakers roster, but obviously if Grandpa Lebron or Street Clothes Davis get serious injuries the Lakers won't be the 3rd best team.

I think they would both have to be out for it to be a huge problem. With AD, but no Lebron, the Lakers were awesome last year and I think they could tread water if AD were out, but Lebron were available.

Haha. Definitely the Clippers fan in our family. I am not fond of either LA team but the Lakers are usually must watch even if I don't care for them.
