Thanks for all the feedback yesterday.

I have been hearing a lot about the divisional realignment in college football and admittedly don't really know what is going on. I follow College Football on a cursory level. I tend to know which teams are at the top of the rankings, which players are top prospects for the next draft and I usually watch a few bowl games at the end of the season. But I don't follow it very closely.

I think we might be going to Texas in Oct or Nov so maybe I will be able to catch a college game. The TCU Horned Frogs are the closest team to where we stay when visiting my wife's family. Although last time we were there I wanted to go watch a college baseball game and I was shocked how expensive it was. Was cheaper to go watch the Rangers, which I did. I am sure college football is even worse. Anyways:

Shill me your thoughts on the College Football realignment and what team you support.

Not a college football guy at all. I know nothing about the realignment. My only rooting interest is to support any team playing Notre Dame each week.

The grudges are strong with this one. Siggy, your teams have been bad for so long, I think you enjoy cheering against the teams you despise more than cheering for the teams you support.

Case in point, you missed the Scherzer trade by 2 days but had your Atlanta Braves scorn ready the minute that fated double header ended. Haha.

I was never a college football guy either, until I found low-value money lines (-300 or worse) in college cash significantly higher than in the NFL. The best lines I've ever found to bet are futures on little-followed sports like LaCrosse or WNBA. Just thought I'd add my gambling junkie 2 sats. 🤑

lifelong michigan wolverine's fan (go blue!), so i'm only really paying attention to the big ten changes, but i think they're dumb. i didn't really like when they added rutgers, maryland, and nebraska, but at least it made sense geographically. usc, ucla, oregon, and washington are clear across the country, and i have no idea why they would be added to a midwest conference. unless the endgame was to get rid of the pac 12 altogether, in which case well done i guess.

it is an amazing stadium. i'm obviously a bit biased, but i think it's one of the best in the country.

my mom's side of the family are all ohio state graduates, so the ohio state michigan game is always a big deal. my parents would go every year when i was a kid, and i was lucky enough to tag along to quite a few. even got to see one or two in the horseshoe

How much is it for a decent ticket? (I know "decent" is subjective but lets say I don't need to be in the first 20 rows but I don't want to be in the last 20 rows either).

it depends on the game. if you're talking about an early garbage team, you can probably get decent seats around $80-100. if it's a big game, like ohio state, you'd be extremely lucky to get nosebleeds under $350

In the end, getting to the college playoff is one thing, and winning the college playoff (2 games) is another. Probably 10 teams with a legit shot at making the playoff, but realistically only 4 that can actually win it: Georgia, Alabama, Michigan, Ohio State. I mean, in the CFP era no team with under 85% of its roster being 4 and 5 star recruits has ever won. Those are the only 4 teams with those numbers this year if I'm not mistaken.

Pretty crazy run TCU went on last year. Was nice to see an underdog get to the championship game even though they were totally outclassed.
