I wish more people could see the potential of those other use-cases. 

Imagine how many applications would exist now, if only they didn't have to spend billions of dollars per year on servers and staff. Uber costs $10 billion and has 32k+ employees. Meanwhile, [Bullrun](https://github.com/ArcadeCity/bullrun) was made by a few programmers in their spare time, and it uses Nostr as it's backend. Imagine how many Nostr apps don't exist now, because most of the focus on social media.

A nostr relay is a generic store-and-[text]-stream service. The social media use case seems to be incentivizing people run them but these other use cases are super interesting.
