that might be the case, but until we use ips and domain names as identifiers we will never have a fully decentralized network
I don't mean this to stop anyone, they should just know the challenges. This podcast has some interesting takes on decentralizing Nostr https://fountain.fm/episode/Bl5zcvDXKyUgyUYdAori and reminds me of CJDNS (https://github.com/cjdelisle/cjdns/) which is an alternative to IP-based networking. Maybe blockchain as registry plus such an IP alternative can get us to the promised land.
