Shout out to @siggy47 for doing a stellar job on @kr Stack Sats pod. If you haven't listened to it here is the link https://www.stacksats.how/guides/how-siggy47-stacked-over-500-000-sats.
Analytics has become a huge part of sports. Every team has hoards of coaches and advisors that break down every facet of the game. Personally, I think maybe it has been taken to the extreme and the pendulum is due to swing back in the opposite direction but I don't expect this trend to let up. Which leads me to ponder what the impact of AI will be on how sports are played? With that in mind:
In any sport of your choosing, shill me how you think AI might change the game.
Sats for all.
Cheers, GR
Thanks for the kind words,GR. Tough topic today. I can see AI referee/umpire use in all sports, which would end judgment calls.

My pleasure sir. Yes, that makes a lot of sense. I was thinking along of the lines of crazy formations in football that no human would think of, or basketball starting lineups with 5 centers.
I think of how AI impacted the game of chess and people initially thinking why is this machine making this move at this point in the game but the machine was merely optimizing to win.
Maybe the AI will say Pete Alonso should bunt every time he comes up with a man on first or something counterintuitive like that.
That being said, I think if AI strategy merely optimizes for victory, maybe the games get very boring.

I was thinking maybe Billy Ball on steroids. A friend of mine's daughter works for the Red Sox. She's an MIT computer wiz involved in signing players, free agents, etc. I rarely see her but I saw her a few months ago. I should have asked her about AI.

I can definitely see that. Very cool job for her. I have a buddy that I played baseball with in high school that works for Maple Leaf Sports and Entertainment (owners of leafs, raptors and toronto FC). He got championship rings from both the Raptors and Toronto FC championships. They are obviously not the same as the ones the players get but look similar and still very nice. So maybe your friend's daughter will get a WS ring at some point.

I play VR sports. Population one, with Oculus. You got 16 teams of squads.
See an example here:
Each squad is 3 people.
Your goal is to loot guns, bullets, and kill the other squads before they kill you.
There are some tournaments. The top level players if you see them run, you won’t survive.
I see AI analyzing these matches. I see AI helping you to design a strategy for your squad when playing against others.
I see AI learning from each game and drawing conclusions.
There is a pattern why the top players are top.
They for instance are very aggresive, they never walk, they always fly.
Some use only snipers and shoot you from distance. Some build fast so you cannot hit them
It is an easy game with some parameters. There is gravity, there are guns, there are some rules. And nobody can control the system.
But still you see people win more. AI can help you analyze the massive amount of data and see some patterns.
And AI could give you a training plan to climb the ranks.
I would use an AI that says: hey you are below average on shooting the AK riffle. The top 10 players all use this AK and they learned this by doing these drills. Here is your AK riffle training plan today.
Now I think about this, what AI could do is also create an avatar trainer in Population one, since it is VR.
You get a VR AI coach that helps you during your training.
There is a training room in population one.
This VR coach can help you by speaking to you. You could speak back and the AI would understand. Voice to text and text to voice.
You would say: who is the top player?
AI would show you their image in the training.
You would say how do I compare my shooting to this top player? AI would analyze it and tell you.
You would say give me a 10 minute training plan now to improve my shooting.
The AI would be there with you.
You would say can you create another training environment on the beach for me?
The AI would create the training environment for shooting on the beach. This last thing in VR would be a bliss. That would be unreal.
The AI would still need to follow the rules of the game, like gravity etc but would instantly change the environment.
I think this would attract more players as the game becomes immersive.
Finally,
Same game can be VR golf!!
There also you have rules, you got a goal and you can practice and compete.
All I said above applies for VR golf.
Now finally,
In population one when you win you got points. 2000 points, 400 ppints for looting, 40 points for shooting…
Can you imagine if you could get those points in SATS?????
Wow!!! Lets do it!!! Who has some contacts with the developpers of Population one?
Can you imagine betting on these games in bitcoin?
I’m outa here

Isn’t it amazing how many potential bitcoin integrations you can find if you really think about it and of course there will be some no one is thinking about.
I never thought I would see a pro baseball team (Perth Heat-ABL) posting QR codes for people to tip sats to players for good plays during the game and then when someone steals a base they post a QR code that lets you “steal” sats from the Heat.
