There's a mad dash for data control with the nascent Ai industry promising to do more with data, and monetize it more efficiently. I've never seen competition for it like this. You can feel it. As restrictions, monitoring, and fences go up, the centralized user world controlling money and discourse keeps taking bigger steps away from bitcoin's value proposition, and that's perhaps why I'm also so bullish on NOSTR and other things, especially when marketplace clients start arriving. Let them keep displacing themselves. They'll get to where artistic expression and transacting are smothered, and when the monetary system underpinning it all can no longer expand safely...
Bitcoiners are going to become targets. Not in some dystopian violent way. But targets because of their disposable income. Targets because of their negligible debt. The world will be at our feet. But the folly of thinking the res publica are the mindless consumers they desire... Separating us from our coinage dear reader will require more. Lower your prices. Bend to our will. The advertisers will beg for a banner on a Nostr content creator's uploads. They'll build their own clients to sell their wares. The Lightning Network will work after all. Ark liquidity pools will be all the rage.
Your CBDC will have purchase voids, geo-fencing, and restrictions. It'll naturally have created a carapace (hollowing out) of its ability to be an effective store of value. No surprise, most of GDP is built on mindless consumption anyway, and this way they ensure better velocity of climate change. So the saving will have to be accomplished by corralling everyone into the killing pens of fixed income securities and stocks. Those have variable tax implications. Which brings up a related problem for the well-to-do: with a CBDC, the on and off ramps of tax havens are surveilled. Thusly, tax havens don't work anymore. Bitcoin solves this. It's called a private key, hybrid custody, or absolute power. If property can't be violated, can a political hierarchy exist? Sure, but with a lot less prestige.
We've cut the gladiator's femoral artery. No need to rush in. Let him bleed out.
