Probably the main differences are that Swan is Bitcoin-only, doesn't offer yield products, and likely isn't guilty of insider trading and market manipulation.

Yes, i believe so.
Still custodial (when I tried to help my friend to move his funds out of there it got blocked and took almost a week)
Still reports KYC etc.

Yeah, what orthwyrm said.
He focused on CZ's extracurricular activities, which have little to do with the normal functioning of a regular exchange.

"It will not be a "disaster" if Binance fails. We will all be better off for it. New Bitcoin services will flood all of the markets where they've been choked out by Binance's crypto colonialism"

I'm right there with you on this one.

He has a point. He (Swan) does promote bitcoin only and self-custody, Binance does not. His custody service is for people who do not want or can't handle self-custody, fair game if you ask me.

I agree.
And Binance, you know... is a casino.
It just is.

I think he is right. Also I think Binance is holding back bitcoin adoption by allowing scams and profiting from them with MM manipulation. Binance is a bad actor.

Regarding the wash trading and the chart as "proof"
Wouldn't it make more sense to buy and sell a token to simulate volume? Instead of only buying it like in the chart?

That's above my pay grade, but the chart looks funky.
