I cant it stand it anymore. The level of stupid has reached critical mass. I mean the CEO of ChatGPT is a spoiled collectivist with 0 education in history or economics but still wants to make statements on how to fucking organize a society of people. And its not that he shouldnt be free to do so, its that these ideas manifest into reality with no possible chance of escape.
Why is it so hard for people to see that the government is everything they accuse everything else off. Ie. lazy middle men, rent seekers. THATS THE GOVERNMENT. Its the government that does none of the work but somehow is entitled the fruit of everyone elses labor via so called "taxes". What the fuck man. Biggest scam ever, We will never understand that as a species. Its just over.

Wife went out of town to a volunteering trip. I’m left with kids for a week. Brought them to the beach today, great weather! And kids had so much fun playing with the sand and in the sand.
Need to work out our week’s meal plan and sort out everyone’s responsibilities later today when we get home.

I'm thinking about building an app called Habit-Chain where people can record their daily habits and have them linked by a chain. I imagine it would look like this but the photo for the habit would be editable so users could customize there habits. if all goes well I'd love to set up a feature where a user can put sats in escrow until they hit their goal and once the goal has been met those sats get returned back to them, but if they don't hit their habit goals then those sats get sent to the charity of their choice which a user would have to decide on before putting the funds in escrow.

Cool I like this idea.

That sounds really cool! I tried a lot of stuff already without much or only temporary success and I would try something like this.
However, how would you make sure that people really hit their habit goals and not just cheat/lie? Are you thinking about a custodial solution? Then you would still need to trust people to not lie.
However, you can of course just assume people are honest since they are only lying to themselves more or less. Maybe this "explicit lie" is already enough to make people actually change their habits.

Thank you! I will share the website in here once I've successfully built a prototype. I thought about having people wager against each other to complete their habits, but to your point there is no great way to convince people not to lie in order to win the sats. Nothing is stopping someone from just opening the app and pretending they completed the habit but if it's just for themselves then they will know they are lying and I think since someone took the time to create an escrow account to hold themselves accountable for that habit they are more likely to either complete the habit or have the sats go to charity. Even if they do lie no one gets hurt since it was a deal someone made with themselves
