i’m glad to see them making quick upgrades like this.
what would you prefer seeing Muun do in response to the problems they faced last week?
There's nothing quick about it. Last September the whole industry was expressing to them how it was going to bite them in the ass and they exclaimed that they were "working on it"
Not saying it's trivial to do but I wouldn't give them any kudos for putting out a tweet saying they'll change. They're bleeding money and users atm. Tweets don't do anything to change that.

did users encounter issues sending and receiving payments last September?
yeah i don’t mean to say that a tweet on its own is enough, they ultimately need to back it up with an improved product… but what good does it do any of us to kick them while they’re down?

Looks like early Oct, but yes: https://lists.linuxfoundation.org/pipermail/bitcoin-dev/2022-October/020980.html
There were higher fee rates then and big debates that they brought on about trying to change bitcoin core to support a use case that is fundamentally broken.

thanks for sharing that link, i didn’t realize the extent of the issues they were having then.

At the very beginning, when I first tried Muun about a year ago, I really liked the experience of using it, and I recommended it to all beginners, but over time, problems of unexpected commissions began to surface. I wonder what solution they will find and I give them a chance to improve.
Let's see what happens.

[Our] architecture will eventually become very expensive, and that is why we're working on a new version
I have no idea what they're up to but they are clearly aware of it for a long time
