It's probably just a dunk on Brexit from the bitter Davos class. They revel in any trouble arising in the UK. The UK must fail, must be seen to be punished, for the globalist agenda to succeed.

As a Brit, who has since left the country behind, I’m genuinely worried about what’s around the corner for the U.K.
Climate hysteria, paying farmers to grow grass instead of food, zero energy security, testing nuclear notification systems, digital panopticon, super-fragile financialised economy…
if you’re a bitcoiner and you don’t have a physical plan B for bolting from Britain with a weeks notice…take this as your friendly reminder.

Also a Brit, be interested to know where you escaped too. We were looking to the U.S. but it's extremely expensive.
Any recommendations?

Uruguay in South America is my base now. Food and general cost of living not all too dissimilar but more importantly the people are far more chill and far less preoccupied with virtue signalling. In general, I would avoid any countries in the so-called ‘West’ as a potential destination.
Much cheaper alternatives in the S.A. region, but something to be said for stable politics, abundant energy and productive agriculture. Starting to see more companies expanding operations here. Wouldn’t surprise me if Uruguay goes from 3.5m to 7m people this decade. More than enough space & resources to accommodate that and more. Probably one of the only countries in the world where people from both parties still collaborate and plan for decades ahead.
Don’t think you’ll go wrong with any country in South or Central America this decade personally. Lovely people, driven, hard working, resource rich & productive. Can appreciate its a big lifestyle shift for many, perhaps too big, but being a young male, needs must!
Here I feel 3-4x more productive than I was in the U.K, constantly second-guessing what ‘crisis’ they will amplify next. Priceless is peace, for the mind.

Summers are inverse of U.K, so June/July colder here. Everyone is at the beach in Dec/Jan/Feb, which is why Punta Del Este is pricey then.
If coming to stay in Montevideo, ignore other barrios and try to stay in Pocitos area. You won’t regret it, you’ll probably be reminded of Europe

In 2008 the middle class bailed out the banks; Occupy Wallstreet was the result.
Now, the middle class is being made to bail out the nation state itself.

I have lived in London since 2006, and I notice a significant increase in homelessness here.
I cannot leave my house without being approached by beggars. It is heartbreaking to see so many people living on the streets.
Lockdowns and everything associated to it have killed this country.

No they don't, because this was entirely avoidable. Goods didn't magically become scarcer. This is the culmination of reckless spending and energy policy.
