A majority of people arent going to voluntarily switch to a new currency. You need war and force. This is why BTC will likely fail.
I struggle with this seemingly cyclical rise and fall of civilizations or "systems" and their transitory periods. But. Fail or succeed I think this current system is on its last legs. So. Oh well. Might as well make an educated bet.

After unplugging my nodl. Yesterday I plugged in the start9 Embassy Pro I was holding on to as an unopened collectable item.
And my goodness it is leaps and bounds better!! The documentation is great the interface is so easy and clean. Start9 is on to something!!!

I literally just watched George Carlin rant about larpers like 15 years after he's dead... this is crazy.
Throughout my life I've managed to avoid most social apps and platforms, or at the least not very active on them aside from just being an observer and scrolling.
But Bitcoin incentives are so strong, and Stacker News has provided a fantastic easy to use space to play in I find myself engaging more than I ever have anywhere else online.
I came here to read posts, and possibly stack. Yet I've ended up happily sending sats more than ever. Tipping users, donating some to the rewards pool. It's been a pleasure stumbling here to SN.

Same, I also looove that there are no followers and following here, pretty tired of the popularity contest on social media. 😄
Agreed. Social media is a mess. I love it here. I also love that it's made me actually use some of my corn and feel good about it. It may only be tiny tips and what not but it feels right and not wasted.

The sat powered web is a big rabbit IMO.
Incentives are really, really, really important and the web has had relatively weak ones since basically forever.
