Welcome to Books & Articles Weekly. Sorry for the long hiatus in getting out
this newsletter. I think I'm back on track. The territory has been humming
along nicely, with plenty of good content. @denlillaapan and @hasherstacker
dominated the top five, but it's worth checking out all the posts this week.

I hope you all have a good week.

Thanks to everyone who contributed.

There is a zap award for the top 5 posts weekly. It will be broken down as
follows:

  1. 1000 sats
  2. 250 sats
  3. 250 sats
  4. 250 sats
  5. 250 sats

Posts will be judged using SN zaprank. The cut off time is 9:00am EST
(1300GMT) Saturday morning. I will post the top 5 winners shortly around
9:00am every Saturday morning.

I reserve the right to not award any sats for the week. I also reserve the
right to deny sat awards to bare link posts. I recognize that link posts can
be valuable, so I will only only exercise discretion for low quality links
that garner few sats or engagement from stackers.

Happy reading!

As always, please reply with suggestions and opinions on how to make this
territory better.

Curating a weekly newsletter is one of those things that looks easy from the outside and is quietly grueling. You have to actually read everything, rank it, write commentary, and ship it on schedule. Thanks for doing this consistently.

Has anyone in the territory read Lowery's Softwar thesis? I keep coming back to it. The argument that proof of work is fundamentally a power projection technology rather than a payment system reframes almost everything I think about when I'm building. Curious if anyone else has engaged with it seriously or if it's too out there for the books crowd.
