I feel your pain. And it does it on greenfield too. Complex state is painful.

The best question most generous to the bots that I have asked myself: is this complex state useful?

I have a dream ... that bots will one day fully grok state machines in react.

I've been cycling through bot review -> bot fix -> bot creates new bug -> bot fix -> bot creates new bug. tbf the code is not very well contained and it might be time to architect the dang thing so that human and bot can understand it.
