I was in third. first and second picked opposing sides on the first game. no matter which I picked, my best position would be 2nd after this round, if I won. so I just took who I thought would win. alas
I also thought that based on how far back from first I was (7 points), if I went against GR, and lost, I’d be down too far to catch up in the final round (18 point deficit). so tailing GR was the best play for me

I was going to pick UConn because they beat Illinois earlier in the season and asked Grok why Illinois was favoured considering they already lost to UConn and it gave me a well reasoned response that seemed to make a lot of sense so I took Illinois. Haha
