You can't force people to use/keep bitcoin.
But having this option at least provides an answer to the "can't buy nothing with bitcoin" position.

I hope over time more merchants will want to keep btc once they realize (late, as do most people) that they'd have done much better keeping their stash in btc rather than autoconverting to fiat.
