yeah the oak is no joke... is a serious wood. Today I had a fallen birch, quite fat, like 40 cm in diameter and 15m long. It was already pretty dry, but I started with an old chain, cleaning the branches. So I saw that the sawdust wasn't so big... that is sign that the chain is not sharp. So I remember I have a spare new chain and change it. Totally awesome. In 1h the whole tree was cut in pieces and piled up in the storage.
