I guess I've become more of a realist as I've gotten older. Governments live in a state of anarchy with each other and International Law is a mirage. It seems most of these laws were written by the US and other great powers to use as a cudgel against misbehaving countries when it's convenient anway. As for as the US, China, Russia violating "International Law" at the end of the day it's, ok ..what are you going to do about it? Nothing, because you can't.
I'm sure Putin's attack on Ukraine violated International Law, but they only way he'll face real consequences is if he loses on the ground, via physical force.
