In just a few minutes we have one of the two games for today set to kick off!

Panthers at Tampa Bay at 4:30 pm

Seattle at the 49ers at 8:00 pm

Massive playoff implications for all 4 teams! Going to be interesting to see how each team handles it!

Baker is back.

reply

We're just going to need Atlanta to lose

reply

Could happen. Saints have been playing well. Falcons have been playing great lately but at any moment they could stop and lose by 30.

reply

Uh oh. The Bucs turned back into themselves.

reply

Almost back to back turnovers. Something about that division. Every team has to be some degree of a mess.

reply

I'm wondering if there's some way to use the NFC South as a sort of relegation division.

Maybe the worst team in the league should get to play the next season against that division to get back on their feet.

reply

Brah the Bucs are now running into each other hahahaha

reply

Maybe Baker should play LB too

That would be awesome. The division winner gets elevated to a real division and the worst team in the league plays in the NFC South. Once Jets get in they will never get out.

reply

Lmaoooo I love this idea! Also the division leader has to have a winning record or they get passed over for another wild card as long as they are above 500

reply

This is a sloppy sloppy game but.... given the rain I get it

reply

he puts the bread in the oven

reply

Lmaooooo

reply

OLine is getting decimated without Trent

reply

Technically, just losing Trent was more than a decimation.

reply

Two biggest issues so far offensively have been Purdy under pressure and not being able to get anything downfield. Trent and Pearsall being out has hurt but you have to find a way.

reply

It's amazing that this is still a one-score game. The Seahawks have played so much better on both sides.

Seahawks are playing very well but I think a team with a better run D like the Rams or Eagles will be able to slow down their offense.

reply

That would not surprise me.

reply

49ers dressed in black. Ready for a funeral. Will it be their own or the Seagulls.

reply

Why do we even have uniforms if they don't help identify the teams anymore?

reply

Rivalry uniforms. It was decided before the season they would wear them today. They probably thought this game wouldn't matter.

I think your division has them in 27.

reply

We'll see. The Raiders have always rejected alternative uniforms. They might do black on black, but I've never heard any willingness to go further than that.

reply
69 sats \ 1 reply \ @grayruby 4 Jan

All silver.

reply

They have white with silver characters already

reply

Why look like one of the great NFL franchises, when you can look like the Falcons or Texans instead?

reply

I am not a big fan of the uniforms. I would rather see them in red but for some reason fans seem to like them.

reply

I’m excited to watch.

I didn’t realize the bucs needed help to make it in.

reply

I didnt realize how both the Panthers and Bucs fell off... I knew the Bucs had bad but I am amazed that the Panthers just didnt run away with it given how they had knocked off really good teams this year!

reply

Carolina has been very inconsistent it seems

reply

That describes the entire division very well.

reply

Very true

reply

Bucs were great early and Panthers sucked. Panthers were great in midseason and the Bucs sucked. Both up and down to end the year meanwhile the Falcons and Saints are playing great.

reply

Bucs were one of the best teams in the league until week 9.

reply

It's hilarious that they're in this situation. Their only hope is that someone else beats Atlanta for them.

reply

It is. Hilarious that the hot mess Atlanta came back to mess things up

reply

Some of my favorite Raiders teams were like this.

They'd beat good teams and lose to bad, which meant they hurt everyone they played (playoff seeding or draft position, respectively).

reply

I took the Bucs but they are still going to miss the playoffs.

I also have a 10 dollar no sweat bet with 6 legs of player props between the two games.

reply

Let's see. It's not all doom for them. May the Saints win!!

reply

I took them too

reply

The Gulls defense are killing it against the 49ers atm. Tbh, I've more faith in Haks defense than 49ers offense

reply

Yeah, it's a mauling so far

reply

AS I PREDICTED IN MY MADDEN SIMULATION @grayruby

reply
reply

I was pretty confident about this game but no Pearsall has me concerned. 49ers have only one receiver that is good at beating man coverage and he ain't playing. Kittle and CMC are going to eat.

reply
no Pearsall has me concerned

How will they ever get by with only 3 Pro Bowl skill guys?

reply

Clearly not well on the first drive.

reply

The difference in energy from the early game is crazy. You'd think this was the elimination game.

reply

Seattle STs is having a bad day. 49ers need to start taking advantage

reply

Speaking of bad special teams...

reply

My goodness, these teams suck. I'm including the officiating team in that statement.

reply

This is why it was the early game. Haha

I think even if it is Darnold and the Seahawks whoever comes out of the South is going to get embarrassed next week at home.

reply

I'm an old man. I need the better games to be on early.

reply

We should have recorded during this game. I didn't think of that. It's ok, it will be fun to record during the 49ers game. We should be well into the 2nd half when we start.

reply

Panthers need to be a bit quicker here. They have 3 timeouts but you don't want to have to kick an onside kick.

reply

The Bucs are going to lose this stupid game, aren't they?

Edit: Maybe they're ok

reply

It was close. If Panthers were a bit quicker scoring they might have had a shot.

reply

I just turned on the game and Jesus I didnt expect to see weather this shitty.....

This could either be a terrible game because of the rain or remarkable lol

reply

Could have 2 rain games. Supposed to rain in SF but I think it will be clear at kickoff. Not supposed to rain too hard.

reply

It wasn't even like this when I turned it on.

MIKE EVANS MY GOD

I need 5 catches from him.

NO CONVERSION FIR PURDY

Shanahan is calling a terrible game. Need to have some threat of the run. Can't do that from shotgun.

reply

Might as well be rivers and the colts

reply

@grayruby u know u love that jets flyover! MURICA!

And WHERE WAS MY COKER GARBAGE TIME TD LAST WEEK?!

reply

He really let you down last week.

reply
reply

Interesting dynamic with this game and the 5 seed. The Bucs beat both the 49ers and Seahawks in the regular season but got smoked by the Rams. The Panthers beat the Rams but got smoked by the Seahawks and beaten handily by the 49ers.

reply

The officials just totally lied about the ruling on the field.

They wrongly blew it dead as a forward pass and then tried to save face by saying they ruled it as a backward pass that went out of bounds, but it never went out of bounds.

The NFC South gets the officiating it deserves

reply

I have it on but I don't have the sound on so I didn't know what the call was. That's hilarious.

reply

How do the Panthers only have 10 rushing yards? Rico had like a 30 yard run earlier.

reply

I don't know but he is killing my parlay. Maybe it was called back.

reply

Well done. Beat me to it. Haha

I just turned on Panthers vs TB game.

reply

I was super confused when I didnt see it and went ummm Imma throw this up real quick lol!

reply

I was a bit slow getting the post up today. My family went out for a bit and I was distracted saying goodbye to them and then I had to take my dog for a pee. So I was pleased to see I didn't have to rush and do it.

reply

Damn family!

reply
10 sats \ 1 reply \ @grayruby 4 Jan

Should have gone for it. Also that was a terrible spot on the Purdy sack.

reply

Then they went for it on 4th and 1 and NOTHING

reply

That ball was 5 yards out of bounds. How is that catchable?

reply

Darnold choke on 4th and goal

reply

It wasn't...oh wait, I though you were talking about the 4th down throw

reply

MacDonald channels his inner Dan Campbell and helps the 49ers D out.

I am surprised but I guess he is confident the D can get a stop and get back good field position.

reply

Kickers!

reply

Meyers doing his bad kicks now

reply

Seahawks used to go for it on 4th down by the goal line. NOT ANYMORE

reply

Charbonnet with a BIG run!!

reply

The Raiders and Jets fans today!

reply

Shanahan super conservative. Doesn’t call Timeout after the sack.

reply

49ers are going to have to find a way to threaten downfield otherwise Seahawks will keep every one in the box and snuff any yards after catch opportunities. Easier said than done though with the pressure from the DLine.

reply

49ers get lucky with the missed FG. Need to score on this drive.

reply

Thanks MacDonald.

reply

No Trent Williams. No Ricky Pearsall. Of course. Going to have to do it undermanned like they have all season.

reply

Oh now you are going to use Irving in the passing game when you deleted that from the playbook for the entire fantasy playoffs. Good thing I won or I would be bitter. Haha

reply
