Personally I think Dorsey is really on to something with CashApp. Getting people to use Bitcoin for payments is a difficult problem for multiple reasons, not the least of which is that it's a two sided marketplace problem.
Essentially, CashApp is using technology to solve the "double coincidence of wants" problem. You want Bitcoin, the buyer doesn't care and from their perspective they are just paying with dollars. The other way around, if you want to pay with Bitcoin and the seller doesn't care, they receive dollars. Both parties get what they want without overcomplicating the transaction.
But the real benefit of this approach is that it introduces no coiners to the idea. It feels easy and they start asking questions about Bitcoin. What is this? Why the discount?
I hope so. That's a good way if looking at it.
