I can't remember for sure if it's a requirement but most do take a second language. Few learn it well enough to actually use though

This is exactly correct. Most US schools make a second language available, but rarely does it result in meaningful fluency.

Hey @k00b, I know there was talk at one point of adding more markup features to stacker news. Did that ever happen/has that happened yet? If so, is their a guide somewhere? Thanks!

We're moving towards a better writing experience, and it's the type of thing you want/have to shape extremely carefully.

My priority, right now, is to make Markdown and Rich Text bi-directional translations really good. I'll share more informations soon!
