"AI could accelerate the pace of quantum development"
It's realy difficult to take someone seriously when they throw out something like this. Getting a machine learning model, pre-trained on Wikipedia and common crawl, finetuned on QC white papers, to predict a sequence of text that makes grammatical sense, is not going to help you solve the issues of QC in anyway different than having a talkative person who "did their own QC reaserch", spitball word salad at you. Broadly speaking, machine learning is a technology about taking large amounts of data for a specific task, and being able to guesstimate outputs for inputs that were not seen in training, but are similar. It is a type of automation. Cutting edge research breakthroughs is the last thing they would be useful for.
