Maybe getting high on edibles before work wasn't a good idea.
In fairness, this was a conversation he had with another employee (not a public speech) who recorded him without his knowledge (so there are a lot of problems here).
Anyway, I pretty much only use Campbell's when I need cream of mushroom for a recipe, so no real skin off my teeth.
I must be poor. I like Campbell's chunky soups. Especially the Creamy thai chicken and rice one.

Of a higher class than those who eat microwaved pizza pockets, but of a lower class than those that eat oven baked pizza pockets
reply
Sounds about right, I microwave my pizza pockets about half the time and oven bake them half the time

The oven method really turns it from a ghetto snack into a gourmet meal

A clochard bourgeois?

I don't know what that is, but I'll accept it

I don't dislike the chunky soups, but generally I find the Progresso equivalents taste better (especially their potato soups).

He gets made fun of at the country club because he isn't in a noble business like investment banking. Imagine making things people might need. What year is this?

I won't take sides here, but for a while I had a "privilege" to work in IT for a chemical company that was a major provider of "certain components" to Campbell. Let's put it this way, they can make you taste whatever you want (or they want) on whatever product. There were days that I wanted to lick the walls because they smelled so good...lol In the humble opinion of this "internet warrior" it's all about tiny signals in the brain that makes you think "damn this is a great tasting chicken/beef/turkey etc. insert name", and the way they do that is (you guessed it) the chemicals and your taste/smell receptors in your tongue/nose. Shortly thereafter I started cooking my own meals , as much as I could of course. I do have some fast food at times but mass produced food is rarely good for ya, it is cheap but there is your choice, plus "nobody gotta time for that" is the factor as well. I wondered for many years why GrandMa always stayed home and cooked all day, now I know :-)
