But I have a question.
Cash App? I was thinking Ok, ... ya, I think you can do account-to-account (A2A) transfer of bitcoin just like you can with USD, right? So, ... Cash App, ... custodial, but... something just to easily transfer, OK, I get it.
Then you said Direct Deposit? Seriously?

I’m stuck doing car maintenance today which is extra sucky because we never drive our cars and our batteries die, and then even having a low battery causes car inspections to fail. We should probably sell our cars for sats.
Anyhow, I should probably wait to ship ~jobs until tomorrow so that I don’t do it hastily.

Battery update: went to Auto Zone and they charged our battery and told us it was “a good battery” so we decided to take a long drive to see if that’d help matters. We hit some traffic on the freeway and the car just died … We were able to push it to the shoulder then we walked to Home Depot bought a battery and a wrench set, walked back and put the a new battery.
Moral of the story: trickle charge your batteries if you don’t drive your cars.

hmmm not a car guy but that’s odd that your car just died in the middle of traffic. I thought idling would be enough to keep the electrical system on if not also charge the battery a bit.
might want to get a smarter opinion before taking any longer trips in case it’s not a battery issue

Well you called it. Even after the battery replacement it died again but we kind of knew what to expect so were able to pull off into a parking lot … it must be the alternator or something.

Exactly, and good for him for reaching that point. It's unfortunate that so few people even grasp the significance of what happened in Canada.
It's like these people who say ... well, I don't travel with $8K in my car, so therefore I don't care about civil forfeiture laws permitting this stuff that's been happening.
And then one day it's .... Oh wait, ... now it's $800 and they'll just take it? Without believing that I had a good reason for keeping $800 in cash in my glove compartment? But I'm not a criminal!!! I can't believe this!!! How did we get here????
We need to open our eyes, with anything and everything that infringes on our rights.

Why do so many comments on SN get exactly 10 upvotes? Do we have some very active member who always clicks 10 times on the ⚡️or is this some kind on SN-culture that I'm unaware of?

Yeah if you go to your settings page you can set the number of sats each upvote gives.
I have mine set to 10, a couple people have 5, others have 21. The default is 1.

there's a default setting to how many upvotes you give... it's not too hard to see based on your replies and tips who is giving out how much..
