Both are the same good.

Shogun I think is a bit rushed and they skipped quite a lot of phases. Maybe because they didn't had enough budget.
I read the book and also I saw the old series. But is a good remake, thoughtful.

The last samurai standing is more action and suspense. Definitely you do not get bored.

Watch both so you will forgot about all bitcoin dramas :)
