News
Welcome to Books & Articles Weekly. What a difference a week makes. We were treated to some very good posts over the past seven days. I might get spoiled. I hope the trend continues. The top five posts were really outstanding. @BlokchainB made a rare appearance to review Poor Economics, and his post took the number one slot. @hasherstacker’s comment bounty post received 62 replies, which I guess is to be expected. Two of @denlillaapan’s posts made the top 5, including an article he published in Reason Magazine. I know he’s been around for a while, but I still appreciate the significance of having an established writer post and discuss his own work right here with us. It says a lot about Stacker News, or, it says a lot about the sorry state of the publishing industry that writers have to come here, right before the territory cutoff deadline, to try to earn a few sats. ;)
Finally, @TheFictionFactory gave us their latest short story, which rounded out the top 5. Thanks to everyone who contributed.
There is a zap award for the top 5 posts weekly. It will be broken down as follows:
  1. 1000 sats
  2. 250 sats
  3. 250 sats
  4. 250 sats
  5. 250 sats
Posts will be judged using SN zaprank. The cut off time is 9:00am EST (1300GMT) Saturday morning. I will post the top 5 winners shortly around 9:00am every Saturday morning.
I reserve the right to not award any sats for the week. I also reserve the right to deny sat awards to bare link posts. I recognize that link posts can be valuable, so I will only only exercise discretion for low quality links that garner few sats or engagement from stackers.
Happy reading!
As always, please reply with suggestions and opinions on how to make this territory better.

Siggy’s Suggestions

I’m going to say right up front that I did not include this @DarthCoin post because of my bizarre crush on Whitney Webb. It is true that I will listen to and read anything that comes out of “Unlimited Hangout”, but she didn’t even write the article. I am a sucker for all conspiracy theories. If you are too, give it a read.
Another good article from “The Free-Man’s Perspective.”

The best bet is to plan posting on Friday if you want to be included in Saturday's post. On the other hand, posting too close to the deadline might prevent your post from garnering enough engagement and sats to be in the running for a top 5 post. I guess there is a certain strategy involved.

That is a really cool logo!
