Gen Xer here. I don't remember this at all...don't think it was ever that big of a hit.

There is lots of rock from the 60s-80s that do this sort of sexualization of young girls. In retrospect it all looks pretty creepy...but at the time was seen as "harmless". Not sure that means, probably that we were all very naive.

At the same time social norms were much stricter in general and people would've been aghast at the overt hyper-sexualized imagery of something like modern female rap these days....or like the outfits females were now when performing - basically naked.

So like many of these cases its hard to frame it because so many different variables have changed.

i think the happenings illustrated in the music video are self-explanatory; the dark occult controllers trade favors for fame; the favor is usually in form of some sacrifice of dignity or morals; the higher up the occult ladder one wants to go, or the more famous he wants to be, the higher the price;

in this particular instance, either a) the singer is black-mailing himself for sleeping with small women (cuz either that or else), or b) the singer is an actor who is blackmailing the man who is the character the actor is playing - that wud be more obvious from the study of the lyrics or traits of the actor;

anyways, it's dark satanist pedphiles blackmailing other dark satanist pedphiles, and the world is watching; just a crazy thot...

That doesn't really excuse it. I also remember songs sexualizing younger women. At the end of the day, our sexuality is imprinted on us by the culture around us, and that's what was being imprinted on the people who were alive at this time.

I usually have a pretty good memory for obscure pop stuff and I have absolutely no memory of this, before my time for sure. What was also before my time was Chuck Berry’s sweet little 16 which if memory serves was definitely a song sexualising 16 year old girls, and that goes back to the 50’s or whenever Chuck Berry was on top.

I don't recall this song. I agree. It's creepy.
